Yes indeed. Tam was the better rider and rode for Edinburgh and possibly Scotland but Alex went on to the family's main sportsman.

Not a lot happening right now, so here's one for stattos and insomniacs. What is Claus Vissings average? Final GSA is 6.94 but it's quite different on the BSPA page at 7.23 -159 points from 88 rides although all the others agree, see www.speedwaygb.co.uk/glasgow18. Having recast the figures myself I get a third variant at 7.13 - 155 points from 87 rides. Claus rode in 18 league meetings for us in 2018, scoring 140 points from 78 starts, and as far as I can make out his last two meetings for Berwick the previous year were V Glasgow 15/4/17 9 points from 5 rides @ Edinburgh 14/4/17 6 points from 4 Can the Green Sheets be wrong? And if so how many other mistakes are there? Over to you, Dave Allan, PC 49, Benbulben etc

This is a tough break. If he's signed a contract could he sue?

Oh the irony, CH being shafted as opposed to doing the shafting.
He should have a healthy bank balance from what he stole from us last season!
PB could always try to negotiate a new deal with Harris, or perhaps they have and he said no.

No crocodile tears from me. Didn't Chris Harris threaten to retire when Rye House closed, saying he couldn't make racing pay if he was only riding in the Championship.
Has Joe Lawlor got an NL place. He's not listed on the BSPA website. Not good that he won't be getting confidence building rides while having to concentrate solely on the Championship.

Reading between the lines Buster might be releasing him from PB to miraculously turn up at Ipswich who are unable to attract anyone of pedigree for the wages they can offer.

Last year he said he could not survive having only one club (us) when Rye closed. Poole rescued him from the poor house. Now he has no club. If he gets one will that now be enough or will he still want a second ? By his logic he should now retire gracefully. Must dig out THAT overtake of Doyle as I sure didn't see it up here. Dont understand, why we went for a rider who was on a downward spiral anyway and I reckon most of us long time fans could have told the management that if we had held a referendum.

Harris signed for Somerset early this winter. However right now he is the same reduced circumstances that led to him claiming it wasn't viable for him just to ride for one team. May be he needs to go out and find a day job. I hope a lot of others do as this has to be the plan for 2020, the Championship being a semi professional league.

No problem Benbulben and no need for apologies. Completely agree with your sentiments about the folly of his signing.

Swindon announce that their first meeting won't be until April, with so few fixtures this year possibly most others will be doing the same.
