I don't know if this a totally crap idea or not. I believe that there are a lot more ppl regularly reading this forum as compared with those numbers that actually regularly post comments on the threads. I might check it out four or five times a day but only post once a week. It's struck me this morning that this might possibly be due to the fact that the "readers" might have something speedway related on their minds but it might not fit in to a current thread or that they don't want to start a new thread that doesn't warrant a huge amonunt of discussion or debate. I don't use Facebook but I do use Twitter. To keep up with these advancing behemoths we might need to fight them at their own game. Might there be any popularity in a thread that's just a "comment board" kinda thingy? I don't know......might be a crap suggestion but bring on you one-liners!! I'll start off with 2 or 3 and see if there's any biters

It was amazing to see Tai "woofy woofy woofy" Woffinden winning the SGP in Prague on Saturday.
Please please please no injuries before Cardiff.
The atmosphere at Cardiff will be unbelievable with another British rider genuinely in the mix for a place in the final.

I don't know all the specific details and timescales but it will be a really sore one for Belle Vue to get fined £5000 for abandoning the recent meeting with Poole for a water leak.
That level of fine is going to hit any club at any level very hard.
Some of the penalty measures do sound logical however.......no cancellation to be ratified other than by a SCB representative.

I see that ex-Tiger (not asset ) David Bellago will miss Berwick's live SKY meeting on Tuesday having been given a 3 meetings ban by the French Federation. The reason being that David refused to trap for a world cup qualifier in Hungary. This seems unbelievably harsh. If you say you don't want to be selected surely you can't be forced. A 3000 mile round trip for no expenses?? Aye right........on yer bike monsieur

I think Joe Jacobs would be great to have as a full asset. Our asset base must be pretty thin just now. We might have to insist he reviews his favourite colours as part of his contract too! He would maybe have to think about relocation in the future. Is he even still at school? ;D

He would maybe have to think about relocation in the future. Is he even still at school? ;D It seems Chris Louis is not too happy about Joe's transfer request... http://www.lovespeed...quest_1_2202871 My reply one the BSF was... I understand Chris Louis' frustration but at the end of the day Glasgow gave him his chance at PL level when no-one else would. Can't blame wee Joe for feeling settled at another club. He has great support here. Personally, it feels great to have some loyalty from a rider. It felt like Glasgow were always doing other club's dirty work by bringing over new riders/returning riders for them to go to another club once they'd become good. Although Josh G was an exception. I honestly thought Joe would be at Ipswich next year so it was a good surprise to hear that he'd put in for a transfer. You can't stop a rider from riding where he wants to, as we sorely found out when David Bellego went to Berwick.

Well said Heather I am sure this is the same link that you have posted but your link is firewalled at my work....so I hope you'll forgive me for posting another link.....no thunder stealing www.lovespeedway24.co.uk/teams/ipswich-witches/louis_disappointed_as_jacobs_hands_in_transfer_request_1_2202871I don't know what Chris Louis is implying by "his (Wee Joe's) head's been turned" Yeah his head's been turned by getting the chance at PL level and being welcomed and appreciated here at Glasgow. That would turn anybodies head!! We like him - we want him. It'd be fun to be a fly-on-the-wall at those negotiations. I wonder how much the transfer fee will be? I do hope we'll be more prudent than the Brady / Bob K fees. Was it ever leaked how much Stewart Dickson got for Nick or Josh?

would be great to have jj as an asset, he's been very consistent at home and appears very personable and has time for the fans. i'm glad he's settled in well.
dirtywhensecond - i could be wrong but i think josh is still a glasgow asset...
... will berwick have r/r for bellego tonight? not sure of the rules of a ban

Nic.....I did get a bit over enthusiastic with my Bellago post.
It's a 3 day ban and not a 3 meeting ban.
Still long enough to see him miss tonight's big Sky TV show.
According to the Official Berwick it's RR for David with local lad Liam Carr at No.8, just in case.

Nic......yes you're quite correct Josh G still a "glasgow" asset I knew Stewart Dickson "sold" two Glasgow (his??) assets. I immediately thought it was Nick and Josh but it was Nick and Mason ( who's crying now ) Campton wasn't it. I wonder who does technically "own" Josh? Glasgow Tigers plc or Stewart Dickson plc?

think it will be sky's loss that david won't be racing tonight, whilst i'm gutted he's not our asset he's a tryer and an entertainer...
... also back to the topic of Josh - good to see him at Ashfield.

Well what a blatant cheat Paul Starke is! I was glad Newcastle won after that.
