Thanks to Fingersfin for his take on last night which pretty much covered the events. Colin Hamilton and myself did the early morning airport run today, how quiet is Glasgow on a Sunday morning at 7am!!!, and Chris and Alun asked me to pass on how much they enjoyed their time with the best and most appreciative speedway fans in the world, their words not mine. Glad you enjoyed the stage we used last night this will now be known as the “Fingersfin stage” in honour to the poster who suggested it . This will now become a pre-requisite for future STARs nights at Hampden. Planning is underway for the coming Winter nights but give yourselves a pat on the back as your actions and reception at these events all add to it making it easier for us to get guests to travel north of the border. Once again a quick thanks to my fellow committee members for all their hard work last night.

Yes Snapper, my 6am alarm call on a Sunday morning was very unusual, not a pre-requisite for a wide awake day. Fingersfin - a fine description of last night's event and I can't upSTAGE that (sorry couldn't resist that one) Roll on the first match, watch out Monarchs

Cheers Fingers and LOL Glad everyone had a great night and glad once again that the guests had a good time... for all our Weegie faults, it's good to confirm that providing hospitality is not one of them

Wonder if Rosco recalls the night in 1983 when Exeter visited Blantyre and he decided to come out onto the parade sporting a kilt ......same night Kevin Price ran over DICK Barrie as it happens ;D Looks like he will be busy over the next few days. Over on the BSF apparently someone has let slip that the Bees will be taking their place in this seasons EL along with the Panthers. Hans Andersen and Eddie Kennett first names on the team sheet. Got to be honest I havent bothered ma erse with this pantomime over the winter, the only thing missing was Jim Davidson and Dean Park , and was there really ever any doubt that either team wouldnt be racing this year This one MJFC?
