Arena was 1991. 1st leg was won 46-44 and we lost the second by the same scoreline. The replay unfortunately was 60-30 to Arena, with Tigers winning the second leg 50-40.
Swindon was 1993, we drew down there and won the second leg at home. Edinburgh was 1994, last heat 5-1 to Tigers in the first leg at Powderhall, effectively won the tie as it left us 6pts behind after struggling throughout, which we overturned comfortably in the return leg

i have got the edinburgh d.v.d . i have tried to get swindon d.v.d been on re.run viedos looked though them countless times cannot find it would be great if could get was not at and have not seen it. met my wife in 93 left speedway for a few years any help would be great p.s will pay for it I am positive I have got the Swindon leg somewhere, Cha, I can remember it had no commentary. lf I get a chance I will search for it. I also bought one of those DVD/video combos years ago with the intention of transfering all my old vids onto DVD but I never got round to it and the thing was hardly used. That is still lying about somewhere too, so when I get time I will dust it off and see if its still working and happily make you up a DVD of the meeting for you. I am also pretty sure I have that Ellesemere Port meeting on tape and defo ones from Milton Keynes and Oxford. I also have a couple of meetings from the Stade De Craighead, One from 86 against the Moaners and big leggys moment of glory against the NL title chasing Middlesbrough Bears on that absolutely baltic 1985 November night........dont think I have ever been to a colder speedway meeting ..and I include Armadale andTthe Luff in that

Bye the way. Anyone who likes viewing old matches could do a lot worse than have a gander in here. www.rerunproductions.co.uk/pdfs/archivelistnew.pdfJust before Christmas, I was looking for gift ideas and ended up buying a batch of DVDs from the site. Well worth the money. Most of the matches are a snip at £5 a shot and there are certainly plenty to choose from. Once you have identified a match that you fancy, record the details and the reference number shown at the left hand side and then go to www.rerunproductions.co.uk/archive_list.html and enter the details at the foot of the page.

The Screen Machine at his best. The way that he just stalked those guys until he saw the gap. Class!

Birmingham was one of our better efforts away from home that season. We infamously only scored 30pts once away in league matches. In fact in two matches in London we racked up a massive 31pts, IN TOTAL!!!

Halifax Dukes V Sheffield Tigers @ The Shay in 1980. Halifax DukesKenny Carter, Mick McKeon, Les Sawyer, Merv Janke, Craig Pedlebury, Ian Cartwright and Piotr Pyszny Sheffield TigersReg Wilson, Neil Collins, Jan Zabik, Klaus Lohmann, Eric Broadbelt Henny Kroeze and Phil White vimeo.com/20241630Tigers interest with Neil Collins and in particular (for me anyway) a couple of classy Aussies in Mick McKeon and Merv "The Swerve" Janke. The footage is in black and white and is not the greatest quality but not too bad for all that.

Still got a couple of bits and bobs in the pieline GC. I'll try to put up something else next week sometime. Vimeo only allows a limited amount to be uploaded on a weekly basis.

A good few of you will have seen this Channel 5 documentary before. It runs to just short of 50 mins and is based around Workington. It features Stoney, Micky P and (of course) Ian Thomas in particular. I have seen it before myself but it was good to view it again. Fascinating "behind the scenes" action. Worky aint half wet! vimeo.com/20554840

It is a great site. I mentioned in my second post on this thread that I was using it to blag some of the vids. Much easier to view if they are downloaded to Vimeo who allow large files to be downloaded. I've edited some of them to tidy them up a bit as well. The matches can then be viewed without the need for individuals to go to the trouble of going through the somewhat laborious download process. There are also some cracking still images on SOD (Oops! Just realised that is probably not the best acronym in the world. )
