Have still to watch the meeting but the clip on FB didn't look too bad. Was it? Even five 5-0s wouldn't have saved Wolves so presumably there was no argument from them. Sheffield were no doubt delighted that they didn't have to pay spectators any kind of discount. But I wonder how the spectators feel. One was lamenting pay £22 for that meeting. Calling the result at heat ten is a can of worms. Generally it worked for league meetings, prior to the aggregate point being introduced. Visitors weren't expecting to win and were pleased not to have to come back and most folk were happy. It starts to fall apart where it doesn't suit the home team. Our abandoned play off meeting with Poole being a case in point. Tigers wanted it off as a ten heat meeting would leave them with a hard task in the second leg. Similarly we possibly lost the bonus point with Scunthorpe this year as we only managed ten heats. Our meeting against Newcastle in 2019 got pushed through to heat ten but I certainly felt it was the right call and a good attempt by the promotion. No complaints at all. Other meetings get called off after ten despite the conditions being no worse and in some cases actually better than the early heats. The BSPL really need to update their Terms and Conditions £1 per heat not run up to heat 10 is now paltry. £2 would be fairer though still not a super deal pro rated over the full 15 heats.

If Tuesday was to be rained off, do we get to try again o Friday, with the proviso that the winners must hold their first leg on the Sunday, with the second leg at Poole remaining unchanged on Wednesday Oct 11?
