Christian Henry was a revelation after his move to Newcastle, Bongo. He consistantly posted 7+ averages home and away for most of his seasons there. One season he posted an overall end of season average in excess of 8 points! which warranted Kings Lynn interest and signing him on a full transfer! To get him on a 5.21 average is an absolute steal! Might take him a while to get into the swing of things, especially with the new track. But he will get there imo. Theo Pjiper has had his moments aswell! He has defeated some seriously impressive opponents around their home tracks. And ofcourse he is a former Armadale track record holder and for a while was nearly unbeatable around there. Theo defeated Chris Holder TWICE at Isle Of Wight in 2006. Two weeks after Holder smashed the Track Record. Now, the Isle of Wight track is like night and day compared to Armadale. Reading all this .... and I'm close to drooling!

How about this suggestion for team riding order for next season?!
1. Joe (9) 2. Theo (6) 3. Christian (6) 4. James (7) 5 Josh (8) 6. Michal (5) 7. Nick (5)
And the number in brackets after each name is the points I think that each rider should be able to get quite comfortably from a meeting - which would give us 46pts?!?
Would be intertested to get other folks thoughts on this please. . .

I can tell you that the riding order will be as follows. 1.Joe Screen (9.5) 2.Christian Henry (6) 3.Theo Pijper (6) 4.James Grieves (8) 5.Josh Grajczonek (8) 6.Nick Morris (6) 7.Michal Rajkowski (6) The thought behind Christian at 2 and Theo at 3 is that although Theo has a lower reassessed average than Christian. He has been riding Longtrack and Grasstrack for the last few years, so in theory he should be alot more "sharper" when it comes to being on a speedway bike. Christian has been totally out the game for a year with his injury. Putting him at number 2 alongside Joe, will ease the pressure off so he can get back to match fitness and sharpness in his own time. And with Joe riding with him, it still means we could be guaranteed a decent amount of points in each race, aswell as Joe's excellent team riding skills to boost confidence and morale. However in my personal opinion, I dont think it will take Christian that long to get back into the swing of things. They could form a very potent pairing!

Funnily enough VH, in my mind I had the same riding order as Chris. The reason I didn't pair Joe and Christian was that they both like to ride the boards. Just a thought.

Agreed that their riding styles are similiar rd64, but on our new racing circuit it shouldnt be a problem there will be plenty of space and lines for all to take! You could also look at it from this point of view. Both riders are equally as good on the tighter circuits. Joe rode very successfully at Belle Vue and Eastbourne and can pull inside lines if needs be. Likewise Christian has rode at Edinburgh and Newcastle where you do need to turn the bikes very hard. So if it ever came to it where team riding was in order, I would feel confident in the ability of both riders to ride high or low. The reasoning behind the riding order is purely because of Theo's sharpness and Christians year out. Its straight into league action next season, so we need to not only get as good as start as possible, but take into account the new track, bedding in periods and what not. ~ Anyway, its all academic. As The Raj and Nick will tear everyone apart from reserve

Would Mitch not need to be in a 1-7 due to his work permit situation?

Theo defeated Chris Holder TWICE at Isle Of Wight in 2006. Two weeks after Holder smashed the Track Record. Now, the Isle of Wight track is like night and day compared to Armadale. I was there! He was pretty awesome that day. However this was prob his best away performance all season. Big tracks hold no fear for Theo. If you were to quote every riders best home and away performance of previous seasons then just about every team up and down the country would start to think their team will walk the league. however we all know this aint the case. No getting away from it though, with the team built, Glasgow should be in with a shout this year.

Would Mitch not need to be in a 1-7 due to his work permit situation? Probably, as I think that has been mentioned before on the forum!? I was just wondering if and who we are going to name as number 8?
