Have to admit I'm pleasantly surprised at both Josh and Grievesy returning. The team certainly looks capable of scoring points just about anywhere and while the signings of Henry and Piper look to have a trace of a gamble about them, on the averages quoted someone on this forum would undoubtedly have asked why we didn't take a punt on them if they had finished up anywhere else, so the promotion are due a pat on the back for signing a 1-7 which is very difficult to argue with, even on this forum!

I for one am very happy with our new team. yeah christian and theo are a gamble but on those averages its worth a shot and to be fair we have taken a few gambles over the last few years and been stung by them all so hopefully we're due a bit of luck and it pays off big style. ROLL ON 2011, WOOHOO!!!

What I like about the team is that you can see every rider improving their average and that throughout the season we will have strength at reserve which should make us a potent force.
There are question marks over those returning from long term injuries/layoffs but having Theo and Christian as second strings has to be a bonus!!
The key may be to get Theo motivated and firing on all cylinders.
As Paulco has said you can't see us losing too many 5-1's.
Is it young and exciting no! Is it the team that the Tigers need to steady the ship yes!

Fair play, it's a solid team, and I think there are two absolute musts in there...
1. the return of Grieves. On that average, he's surely capable of getting back up to where he was pre-2010... 2. Getting Morris back at reserve. it was clear his form dipped when he moved into the body of the team, but at reserve, he'll be a decent rider. With the solidity of the other 6, he may well stay there for a while and if not, then a decent rider should replace him.
League champions? Well, if all 7 ride to their potential and stay injury free, then you may just be up there. Top half, definitely.
Don't think we're quaking in our boots just yet, I'll reserve judgment until I see who joins Matty in the Edinburgh line-up... But should definitely add a bit of spice to Scottish derbies...
(Ps, Wonder if Pijper and Grieves have kissed and made up???!!!!!!)

The Moanarchs have by their supremacy in recent seasons earned the right to assume some smugness but I think it's fair to assume they must be fair s******g themselves at the quality of the team we've put together. I'm not going to say we'll gub them without fail on their soon to be sold trick track but I do think that over the piece we may have more cause for smug smiles than they do-what goes around, comes around, and just be sure we won't pass up an opportunity to return some of the "best wishes" we've been obliged to put up with in recent times, and not just on this forum.

At the moment, we're very much bricking it, as we've only got 1 rider signed... Even Matty on his own, couldn't beat that lot... Get the other 6 around him though, and then we'll see!!!!
As I said, fair play - it's a decent septet you've put together, but as always, the team need to do the business on the track. Championships ain't won on paper...
