Official site saying Marcin has departed. Make of it what you will.

I hear it's Peterborough's Polish reserve Patryk Wojdylo that we're waiting for clearance for.

FFS! He made ht8 at Ashfield his own. Trying to acclimatise a new overseas rider to our league won't be easy. This may have fecked our playoff hopes, for what they are this year!

He's picked a fine time to leave us - even worse than Lucille! ( remember the Kenny Rogers track from years ago?!)
Surprised how the fans are taking this. We've been stood up big time, the biggest since Boots corner at Argyll Street stopped being a meeting place!
Seriously are we jinxed for the play offs, something often happens to stop us fielding our regular team.

Sorry to see Marcin depart. He was developing into a solid number two, always a difficult position to occupy. A heat leader return at Berwick underlined his potential. Losing him upsets the team momentum for a week of tough away matches.
If Patryk Wojdylo is his replacement, his form can be checked in tomorrow's Peterborough v Sheffield match on Eurosport. He scored 12 points and three heat wins in Panthers' last home meeting, so he's clearly found the best way to tackle the big, pacy Alwalton circuit.
I note that you have an alternative name, tyretrax.

Interesting and logical post on BSN saying Stal Rzeszow are in the play offs for promotion to the top league where the top money is. The meetings will be on Saturdays for Polish tv. The riders are expected to be at practice on Fridays. If Marcin , the captain, was allowed to ride for Glasgow on Fridays then he faces a drive to Stansted for a 5:45 am flight followed by a lengthy drive to the track by which time his heid would be spinning. Its probably an unfortunate set of circumstances but maybe we should build teams without the threat of some disruption from Poland.

Look on the bright side, if Marcin's team gets promoted they are highly unlikely to feature in the play-offs in the higher division meaning he won't have the same problem as this year.

We don't want a young man risking his neck, through lack of sleep, speedway is so fundamentally dangerous. From what I can find online Patryk Wojdylo doesn't appear to have a Polish team, that can't be right, is it? I rides for Peterborough, as we know, and Smederna, in Sweden. This was the link I'm using: speedway.com.pl/riders/patryk-wojdylo/

Speedway Updates show that Rybnik seem to be racing Ostrow in the play off quarter finals on Aug 26. Wodjdylo listed in the line up. Will he be available for Scunthorpe on Friday?
