For MD done a small exercise on your fav rider from July to end of season he rode 14 meetings 6 H and 8 A 66 RIDES 79 POINTS 12 bonus =5.52 average [7 meetings at no2 and 7 at reserve ] nearly forgot tape touching at home NONE away 2.The pressure was always on James knowing your partner was always going to be last except on a couple of times while riding at reserve Appreciate you looking up the stats but its the Ksiezak factor all over again. Not for me.

Bobby K. !!! There is a name from the past. I actually liked him though I know he lacked a bit of devil. My wife met him , said he was a very quiet chap but a really nice lad and I wasnt about to disagree. Wonder if Berwick have young Flint lined up as BSF rumour merchants are mentioning Luke Chessell gor cryin out loud.

Are these figures correct? I cant find an definitive listing of averages once the 2.5%allowance has been deducted, so will stand corrected if any are wrong. GSA All Ave Craig Cook 10.45 0.26 10.19 Claus Vissing 6.94 N/A 6.94 Paul Starke 5.88 0.15 5.73 James Sarjeant 4.16 0.10 4.06 Joe Lawlor 2.00 N/A 2.00 ----- 28.92 Meaning we have 9.08 left. Signing a 2.00 rider leaves 7.08 for our final spot. So why are we seemingly going for Rasmus Jensen on 6.59? Those fretting earlier that 0.01 could ruin our team building plans were well off the mark. At a time when the points limit has been slashed, not using your full entitlement by nearly half a point is really poor. I don't think this would have happened had Stewart been about. Can't our guys use a calculator? Have we been caught out having made allowances for Jack Thomas coming back, only to be stood up at the last moment?

Can't our guys use a calculator? Have we been caught out having made allowances for Jack Thomas coming back, only to be stood up at the last moment? As part of the 0.01 debate I made the point that the averages should have been calculated and made available as soon as the 2.5% reduction was formally agreed. Would also repeat that apparently there was a strong indication at pre meetings that the BSPA would go for 6 man teams and a 36 point average and the 5 named plus Jensen would have come to 35.51. It appears from other posts that Jack had asked to be released as he was finding the travelling difficult, that would explain why we went for Lawlor (with Jack we would have been 35.75, close to the 36 limit). It seems the original 6 rider plan was reversed at the final BSPA meeting and we have been left trying to find a rider that fits. Can't help wondering, in these days of conspiracy theories, if the 6 man debate was a red herring deliberately introduced to hinder some teams in their team building! I would stress that much of the above assumes that the stories in BSF are true. This also makes you wonder why a 'poster' seems to know so much about other teams plans and thinks it is ok to post them on a forum and in doing so has helped create an unhealthy and, in some cases, vitriolic outburst of comments.

Re team building, I see Eastbourne have three 2 point something riders. Surely they're gonna be more top heavy than us?

Interesting development from Berwick thread on BSF. Team announced. Admission up two quid AND riders taking a pay cut to keep club going.
