From BSF posted by Big Fat Dave - 'Whatever discipline he ends up in I'm sure he'll do well; he's already been offered a contract by at least one PL club in Bonnie Scotland ('Mon the Tiggers!) and the word is if he doesn't finish Top Two in the Red Bull comp. this year, thereby getting promotion to GP ranks he'll be gracing the shale in 2012. Goodonya Arthur and thanks for the show!' Woof, obviously a lot of rivers to cross before this might happen, but that would be the biggest signing in Tigers history...IMO

Had a word with the wee one just before the Aussie Under 16's Championship. He thinks he has to finish on the podium in this years Red Bull Series to have a realistic chance of getting into the road racing GP's. If he doesn't do that. I think he'll be on the market for a team spot (Speedway). Could be one hell of a bidding war taking place but the secret might be to get in early.....just like a sneaky south yorkshire rep was doing at Gillman on Saturday night.

Surely it's every young boys dream to wear the stripes of the famous Glasgow Tigers :-). He'd certainly have plenty options should he choose to switch. Anyone have any idea how Mason Campton has gone in the aussie meetings?

I agree. Not getting into GP's shouldn't be the end of his road racing ambitions. Suppose it all depends on cash tho. Speedway might be cheaper.....

From what ive heard. Arthur is one of the most naturally talented riders to come out of Australia since the days of Crump, Adams, Lyons, Sullivan, Wiltshire etc. And he has lots of high profile aussie speedway comentators backing him up on that. Getting into GP racing is ofcourse going to be good for Arthur. But at the same time if he has the potential to earn what Crump earned in the last year he wont be doing too badly! We will all be waiting in baited breath for Arthur to finally make the step up to competative 500's, because I have a gut feeling that he is going to be another Ward, or even surpass Darcy. He has better pedigree and experience than Ward did at his age.

To put it all into perspective, Arthur was beating Darcy Ward in Australian Titles three years ago, he was 12 Darcy was almost 16. The year before when he was 11 he was beating the likes of Sam Masters. This year Arthur has rode about 4 or 5 junior speedway meetings only. Two of them Australian Championships and he won them both. The kid is an absolute freak

If he's as good as everyone is saying, then he will never be a Tiger. He will be snapped up in Poland and may go to a UK or Swedish Elite league side... I won't be holding my breath

Glad to hear it!!
Was Arthur not in the Red Bull series last year, do you know where he finished?
And Bongo - shame on you with that defeatist attitude!! everyone knows that if you are a talented Aussie then your first stepping stone has to be the mighty Glasgow Tigers!!
