Far too long-was certainly watching it from the comfort of my living room (as opposed to Ashfield- I wish!) but if folk are complaining about a couple of hours for a meeting at Glasgow then the tolerance level has well and truly expired for well over 3 hours. Imagine trying to get home from King's Lynn on a Monday night at 10.45pm, never mind to here, but even anywhere within a 100 mile radius of the stadium, hardly sited close to main roads-nightmare!

The 25 heat format does tend to drag on a bit, but I dont suppose the old traditional 16 heat job would appeal to SKY. If its a tight meeting like the Monday night meeting it is just about bearable, but that meeting on Sunday with the Poles romping it, as expected, was just a bore fest and went on way too long. In saying that I am looking forward to the race off, as that usually turns out to be a tight meeting, unfortunately Vojens doesnt always produce tight racing

Sky would get away with Monday night as Eng...sorry, GB, won a tight meeting-imagine if it had been the Aussies against the Swedes for the first 2 places-don't think Nige and Kelv would have been as animated about an overlong meeting, and seeing as I wasn't giving a stuff about the home team winning it was the equivalent of a couple of valium washed down with a large Bell's.

That was the worst thing about Monday night, it wasnt the long drawn out 25 heat format, it was listening to those two's jingoistic shouting and bawling, it really was beginning to get on MJFCs nipple ends You wouldnt get that sort of guff from the great Dave Lanning ;D

Those 2 just get on my threepennys regardless of who's racing. Getting to the stage where I might actually just have to watch the racing (if there is any) with the sound off.

We have had 20 heats and that daft bint in the pits is still asking riders if they are having trouble with their set ups amongst other stupid questions She really is toe curling, although I wouldnae kick her oot ma pit for making ma toes curl Meeting not as tight as I thought it might be, unfortunately the racing is as poor as I knew it would be. The final wont be much better, I was planning on leaving the pub a bit earlier on Saturday to catch it, not too sure if I will bother now

go to workington m.j.f watch tigers away win It should be a better meeting than the SWC final, cha. I would be wary of the Comics though, by all accounts they have been flying at home the last couple of weeks, twice rattling up 62 points in the process. Afraid its the pub on Sat afternoon for MJFC though ;D The days of following the Stripes south of the border are long gone for me

My days of going south for away meetings long since gone too, although I have fond memories of Worky, along the lines of gas masks, and "We've got our Davie Gifford, he's the captain of our side"-Now I'm showing my age!
