Leon had a good night at Birmingham, scoring 7+1 in the Brummies narrow home win, a good sign for our coming meetings. On paper he is better than all the Oxford riders other than Masters and Nicholls, so lets home he can do it at Cowley as our reserve weakness coukd be our downfall. Replacing the close to seven points of Lee and Ace is a big ask, particularly as Cheeetah's reserves Boughen and Killeen, though rated at 4.00, currently have averages of more than twice that figure, albeit on a very small sample. Which Jack Smith will we get tomorrow? The amazing Jack of last week at Ashfield or the decidedly lesser one of the weekend at Berwick and Workington?
Rrolling on to Friday night we have the welcome return of Workington after of number of years out of the sport. Boasting a strong heatleader trio of Cook, Bachelor and Vissing, backed up by the impressive Zitsche, their situation is the reverse with two weak reserves in Liebmann and McGurk being required to take 10 rides between them with RR being run. Our problem is taking their top end, with the two former Tigers having points to prove.
Two meetings in three days which may well define the shape of our season. Interesting times!

Our social media team getting their act together and giving our team line up for tomorrow - well done. Jack Smith and Connor Coles are our reserves who will have their work cut out against Boughen and Killeen. Good luck guys!

Wouldn't have happened in days of yore when a number eight (or number nine) would've been called up. Best of luck to Jack and Connor. The Cheetahs got rinsed at Poole and squeaked a two-point win over Plymouth at Sandy Lane, so we must be in with a shout of progressing in the KO Cup. Go get 'em boys.

30 July 2023 Tigers beat Poole 46-44. Reserves were replaced as Complin had got married the day before and Pijper was in Slovenia on European U19 Semi Final. Guests were Connor Coles (3) and Sam Hagon(5+2)

WOW 2 guest reserves, think we will be up against it tonight, hopefully we come through with an overall win. Hope Ace is fit for Friday, 2more days might not be enough for a wrist that at one time was suspected broken. Friday another toughie we need a win as I think we might struggle for play offs this year, should be a good meeting though.

Welcome back Benbulben. britishspeedway.co.uk/miscellaneous/sec-tests-for-gb-stars/Will Steve be available on Friday night as he has an SEC qualifier in Germany on Saturday. Really hope so as We're not exactly spoilt for choice in terms of guests to cover him. Rory Schlein about the only one if it comes to it.

Sadly so it proved . Our reserves score three, all of which were gifted in heat two, while Oxfotrd take eight, more or less the score difference tonight. Friday becomes a must win meeting now.

Did i hear Cam Brown say Smith had been signed on a 28 day deal ? Does this mean Lee will still be out ? I hope Jack's show last Friday wasnt just a fluke because tonight he just looked the same old ,same old

It does, our guest choices IMO for the last 2 home meetings have helped us win matches I dont think we would have. Friday is our biggest challenge of the year so far.

Thanks insideout. Fingers crossed Lee gets the green light asap Lee was banned for 30 days effective from April 12 so the ban ends on May 12. Our guest facility runs for 28 days from the date it was first used - April 12, so ends on May 9. Jack's signing covers the gap which has two meetings - at home to Edinburgh on May 10 and away to Workington on May 11. britishspeedway.co.uk/miscellaneous/scb-statement-berwick-v-glasgow-2/
