Anyone remember a "Tony Hall" riding for us at Berwick at the start of the season? He's shown on Speedway Researcher but Frankie Hall was in our team the night before at Edinburgh and may well have been him. Tony Hall was a pal of Brian Collins and second halted at Old Meadowbank in the last year there but would doubt it was him. Amy thoughts?

This is the 1978 season you're talking about. Tony Hall rode at #7, confirmed by marked programme and Speedway Star report. Also listed in 1979 Yearbook as a guest. This Tony Hall was born 08/12/1958, Castle Hill, England and represented Paisley (77-78) and Felton (79 & 84) in the Scottish Junior League.

There was a Tony Hall around the Edinburgh scene in the late '60s (Born in 1947, apparently). There was another Tony Hall from the Berwick area who started second halving at Berwick around 1975 with his pal Kevin Easton. He reached a decent level but I don't think he ever made the Berwick team. It is likely that Glasgow were a man short and was loaned Tony to make up the numbers.

Looks like it. To add to my confusion Frankie Hall rode for us the night before at Powderhall and thought it might be him and a misprint. Stand corrected.
