We all knew it would happen but now just into May and Berwick, Edinburgh and Plymouth have only the league to take their interest and eight home fixtures run. If they were quick they could be finished before the schools break up for the summer ... and the Scottish schools at that. If the results go against them this week, Birmingham will join this not too august group. With the BSN semis almost certainly being contested by Poole, Scunthorpe, Redcar and ourselves, theres a high likelihood of some of these fixtures replicating recent meetings. Glasgow have Redcar in the KO Cup and Scunthorpe in a league meeting on Friday week. Scunny are at Poole in mid May. Some Ko Cup ties are duplicates of the BSN section fixtures - Poole/Plymouth; Birmingham/ Scunthorpe. If variety is the spice of life, then we're knackered!

The lack of fixtures is appalling and won't do clubs any favours, fans need consistent meetings to maintain interest. As it currently stands after Oxford on Friday we don't have another home fixture for a month. Utter sh1te!

Surely we'll have meetings on Fridays May 19 and 26 though they may not necessarily be at Ashfield. KO Cup v Redcar and/or BSN semi finals.

British Speedway fixture list shows Tigers' KO Cup quarter-final first leg at Redcar on May 19. No date confirmed for the second leg, although Redcar appear to be fixture-free on May 26.

It's disappointing we are again dilatory in advising supporters of newly agreed fixtures, even away meetings. Are we waiting to confirm the date for the home leg -Sunday May 21 perhaps - before putting out a press release.

Or did our promotion know that the BSN semis would take precedence over any KO Cup meetings?
