Our next two meetings @ home to Oxford on Friday then away to Scunthorpe the following Friday, are certainly tough ones. Perhaps we have been lulled into a false sense of security by topping our BSN section, arguably the weakest one of the three. Berwick have only won once and that was against an Edinburgh team who lost number one Pickering in the first heat. The Monarchs too have only one win - and that was against us! Now it's for real. Oxford put Edinburgh out the KO Cup and should have won at Armadale. On Friday our heatleaders have to take on Masters and Nicholls ... and Kerr if fit, possibly Sedgmen as a guest if he's not. While Claus and Marcin should handle Heels and Jenkins ok, although both Cheetahs are going well right now, the meeting may well hinge on the points from the eight rides from Lee and Ace compared with those from Atkins and Killeen.
I'm looking forward to the stream from Scunthorpe, a pacy track with no hiding place. It'll be interesting to see Marcin here. May be just keeping the score within reach to allow us to get the BP when we race the second meeting at Ashfield.
And it doesn't get any easier after these two, presumably with KO Cup ties with Redcar, and possibly the BSN semis with Poole, Scunthorpe or Redcar likely opponents. May be Cami was right that there are no easy fixtures this year....although we've got Birmingham on June 2 to disprove this!

Are we not a couple of Danes short on Friday? DMU Championship.

There's bother for you! Who is deemed to be the higher of Claus and Marcin as it will determine who can take RR rides.

Berwick have only won once and that was against an Edinburgh team who lost number one Pickering in the first heat. And, in a flash, coombes is removed from the Bandits' Christmas card list, forgetting their unlikely but laudable victory at Armadale.

Particularly as I saw it on the BSN stream.

That's a pity as we'd only be able to use Marcin, Lee and Ace if we are using RR, though is a guest given for international events? Not sure who would be a good pick at 5.25 -5.00 plus the 5% home uplift. On the plus side, the weather forecast looks a lot better now.

My default is the BBC one, purely out of habit. Their forecast is 50+% for rain. Alexa says it's 84% likely rain. Of course there's rain, and there's rain.....

If we are going to be without Benjamin and Claus and the weather is dodgy, call it now. Mind you, BBC get their weather from metro which is the cheapest and most unreliable source. Met Office usually good as is the Norwegian one.

Poor show that the official FB posts make no mention of Ben and Claus being elsewhere. Indeed they go out of their way to avoid mentioning them, listing Chris and Tom only. It's not the first time theyve adopted this approach to missing riders. A bit sleekit to use an old fashioned word.
Has the Danish event been planned for some time? Indeed was it known when our fixture list was drawn up? Two originally blank weeks at the end of April and then this one without our two Danes. Who schedules these fixtures?
