Time frame: 1965 - 1995 Criteria: League and KOC fixtures only (minimum 3 rides)
I wondered if a Tiger had ever scored an away maximum from reserve. It doesn't look like it in the time frame I've looked at.
Based on number of points scored including bonus, I reckon two tie for top place: Boston Barracudas v Glasgow Tigers Sunday 21st September 1986 - Geoff Powell 12+2 from 6. Oxford Cheetahs v Glasgow Tigers Friday 13th May 1994 - James Grieves 11+3 from 6.
Based on points per ride, again I think two tie: Barrow Furness Flyers v Glasgow Tigers Tuesday 18th April 1978 - Merv Janke 12+1 from 5. Paisley Lions v Coatbridge Tigers Saturday 7th June 1975 - Mick McKeon 11+2 from 5.
Have any of these been surpassed in the intervening 20-odd years?

Leiecster seems to be the place. Have found 14 July 2012 MASON CAMPTON rode at #7 and scored 17 from 7. He did have a four point tactical ride and rode in Heats 11.12. 14 and 15. In those seven he had 1 win and 6 seconds. Good stuff from MC who was in his first season in UK speedway. Our next highest scorer was Josh G with 7.

Still on tbe reserve theme, can anyone remember 1997 when there were six man teams, with the reserve and supplementary reserve being the lowest and second lowest average riders respectively. Home teams wore 1-6 numbers while the away were 7-12. There was also a Track Reserve who seems to have had a racejacket with TR on it. Anyone know his function as most eventualities seem to be covered by thr reserve and supplementary reserve. I think either team could use him but I'm unsure about this.
The only programme I could find made no reference to any rules. It was our meeting against Edinburgh and Barry Campbell was shown as TR at the foot of the Edinburgh score grid. Our corresponding line was blank.

From the few programmes I've got for 1997 it looks like the TR was necessary when a team used R/R. Otherwise they'd have been a man short when it came to the nominated heats. Looks like he could also be used as an additional reserve.

Checked all progs for 97 and,was only used when r/r was in use otherwise teams would be down to five.In other words he seemed to be the equivalent of today's number8. In the Monarchs match coombes refers to I have Jonathan Swales as our TR ( track reserve ?) though he didnt ride whereas Barry was used by the Monarchs. Neither our prog nor the Edinburgh ones I have explain the situation. We also used Blair Scott while Stoke had Angela McCalden down as their TR.
