...... following the Edinburgh debacle. Regardless of your views on what did or did not happen that fateful night......
Just wondering how everyone feels about the team now?

Seems to be doing OK, although one more decent reserve and another reliable second string and I reckon they would be a tough nut to crack both home and away

I've got mixed emotions tbh, totally gutted bout james grieves being dropped however its the kinda time u have 2 look at the bigger picture and it's been done for the good of the team.
There's not much 2 say about joe that hasn't already been said the man is more or less untouchable and I think joe, travis and josh are a force 2 be reckoned with! John branney has surprised me if I'm honest I didn't expect much from him however he has great spirit and I think he'll continue 2 surprise us! I love the bottle young nick has and a little more experience he'll certainly work his way up 2 the main body :-)
If lee and jamie can get back on form then I think we'd be pretty strong however I'd like 2 see mitchell get another crack!
A month ago it was doom and gloom but there is vast improvement in the strength of the team now there's just a few wee weak spots needing ironed out and I'll be happy :-)

What a difference in atmosphere and the team spirit - no digs at the guys especially James who made way.
I'm sure that the only way is up - my only concern is that I'd rather have Travis at 5 and Josh at 4 for the big hits in the final three heats especially away from home.
Just my opinion

Tigers' problem has always been their vulnerability at Ashfield. Most visiting riders seem to like riding it. Since the pitch widening has made it tougher to pass, we'd need seven riders with the gating finesse of Steve Lawson to guarantee home success.
The introduction of Joe, John and Nick has stiffened the team and improved our chances, home and away. The promoters have faced some criticism for wielding the axe, but at least they haven't repeated last season's option. Rider replacement is only a short-term solution.
I feel very sorry for James. Perhaps his form was shading, but, to me, his departure was still a surprise. Let's just say the situation should have been handled better. I'd be delighted to see him average eight or nine points for Redcar and race without further injury. There are very few guys who merit a double testimonial and I hope Ashfield is packed on October 17 to give him the tribute he deserves.
I'm not sure the dust has settled, Gary. Some people may want to kick it up again.

...... following the Edinburgh debacle. Regardless of your views on what did or did not happen that fateful night...... Just wondering how everyone feels about the team now? It's a pleasure to have Joe Screen to watch every week , but the underlying problem of too many last places still remains . At Stoke we had something like 10 race wins , but never got a point out of the meeting . Until we can address that problem successfully we wont be making much progress up the table . I await with interest to see how Robert Branford does today .

It was something I pointed out prior to signing Joe Screen, the problem was never at the top end.We are slightly better off with John Branney, compared to Michael Penfold but we still look dodgy at reserve if the opposition have a solid top 5 and a half decent reserve( Edinburgh, Birmingham, Rye House, etc)

im worried about james's testimonial being a washout since when does glasgow get decent weather at that time of year. l really hope its a scorcher and the place is absolutely rammed full for grievsey.

As Sunday proved , we can have a washout in the middle of a heatwave in the middle of June . So James' testimonial meeting will be in the lap of the gods regardless of the month .
