I find this condemnation of young James in the way that it's been done pretty much below the belt. It's just a couple of weeks ago he was only 'man of the match.' He's a young guy. His confidence seeing that will be knocked, and who's wouldn't?
As for Branney, he's had nothing but praise for his efforts and never say die attitude since he's come here. Rightly so.
This team compared to what we had a few weeks ago is like night and day. Slagging any of them off like this when they are just starting to get together, in EVERY way, is totally unproductive.
I for one am realistic enough to understand what is being said, blind loyalty not one of my suits, but I refuse to go down the route of condemnation for it's own sake.
There are more constructive ways of getting a point across than putting people down in public.

mitchell davey in my opinion is no different 2 lee dicken, inconsistent but on his day very capible of raking up a good score, the difference bein mitch is still young enuf 2 improve!
I'm not sayin I think mitchell should replace lee by any means however if we can fit him in I think he should get another go at reserve, u never know, new team changes and some time out mite give the big guy a 2nd wind, as pointed out a bit of competition for the reserve places mite be a good thing :-o

100% agree tigereye! John branney has been an excellent addition 2 the team! I imagine his confidence 2 be high and rightly so!
Maybe we do just need 2 allow time for it 2 all come 2gether but for me we're defo headin in the rite direction!

[quote author=hector1 board=fansforum thread=229 post=2197 time=1277454461 My expectations are a lot higher than yours then! I EXPECT Joe Screen to pretty much max out every meeting. I EXPECT Travis McGowan to do the same! I know it's not possible but it's what I expect. I EXPECT Josh Grajczonek to perform like he did last night on a more frequent basis. I EXPECT better from John Branney. He's got to be looking to average higher than 5! If he's not improving then all we're doing is treading water! I EXPECT Jamie Courtney to be shown the door. To succeed you've got to have expectations! Demands! Place pressure on the riders to improve, that's all I'm getting at. [/quote] Your EXPECTations make me want to EXPECTorate

I described Jamie Courtney's form as atrociously poor. I think that's a fair assessment given he's recorded 1 point from his last 10 outings. 1 good meeting from 15 is unacceptable at this level. IMO it's time he looked for a new challenge as it's clear he is over his depth.

Are you kidding? Scapegoat? I'm just looking at the facts! As Andy said 1 point from 10 races lol that's just atrociously poor form. As for replacing him, you could replace him with ANY competent rider because they couldn't possibly do any worse!
OK who then? Gary Beaton? Very easy to say drop so and so but not so easy to come up with a replacement. I agree that we cannot expect to keep him in the side scoring 0 every week but its 1 bad week he's had.The three previous matches he scored paid 19!!! By my calculations, which may be wrong, we can fit Mitchell in the side next month, in place of Jamie

John Branney is scoring solid middle order points and has been entertaining with it. Exactly the job that I imagine the promotion expect of him. He's in good form and deserves credit for it.

I also expect folk to act their age.
Don't lower your expectations to meet your performance. Raise your level of performance to meet your expectations. Expect the best of yourself, and then do what is necessary to make it a reality.
Nobody succeeds beyond his or her wildest expectations unless he or she begins with some wild expectations.
1 bad week? You've been watching a different Jamie Courtney than I have then! It's not my job to find a replacement, I feel the guy is out of his depth and should be moved on, I couldn't care less who comes in - if he's a competent enough rider I will give him a chance. They'd be doing an unbelievable job to do worse that's for sure!

Ah, the keyboard warrior approach. Haven't seen that in a while...... A bad patch for Jamie. It can't go on too long, the boy will know that. Better luck for Sunday Jamie.

How sad.

Ewan76!! Re the keyboard warrior approach!!!
Are you saying unless we are praising everyone all the time we are all "Keyboard Warriors"??
Are you defending Jamie's form?? SERIOUSLY?? 1 good meeting every so often isn't good enough!!! I went to Stoke and It was the reserves that beat us!!! Nick done his job!!! Jamie scored 1 (through a fall from Josh I think). He looks ar off the pace!!!
