As Nick currently has his own, well deserved, praise thread I think it's only fair that we start one for John. His scores have been very impressive so far. Looking to be a shrewd move by the promotion. The team is certainly looking to have a bit more fight about them with the additions of 'The Machine', John and Nick.
Who needs yer 0.06, eh? :-)

Glasgow fans have always loved a trier and that is one thing John guarantees. There were quite a few Comics fans not happy that he was the one to make way at Derwent Park and it looks as though there loss is definitely Glasgows gain ;D

100% agree on all said before. Think the promotion deserve praise for 3 good moves so far. Isnt it great to be looking at the programme in anticipation of who is due out in the next race. As the latter part of yesterdays meeting proved, guys like John Branney can be hugely entertaining. Never gives up.

I think we're starting to rather like the cut of this lad's jib !!
Never gives up and looks very fast, even on the still rather uncompetitive ashfield shale, he caught up well from the -15m. Didnt need Travis to shepherd him yesterday - he's strong enough and smooth enough and fast enough to hold a position once he's got it.
It might be a good thing that big Joe and wee Nick are taking most of the limelight - it'll give John a chance to settle in.
Looks to be a bit of a steal on only a 5.72 average. I expect him to add another point before the season's out. I'd pencil him for next season already.
Welcome to the stripes John and keep doing what you're doing.

Just goes to show the value of a solid second string. Difference between winning and losing most weeks.

Hi Herbie, I agree with you, Tigers badly need a rider like John Bye for now, on the square
