A bear bones report of the meeting by Marcus Williams posted by Steve Magro on Yahoogroups. ================================= The Queensland championship meeting at BRANDON was well run by a crew of guys and gals who on the night couldnt be faulted.....WORLD CLASS SHOW...
1.........Matt Pilcher.......rode as hard as he could, great value on the night. 2.........Roy Stout..........mature in years young in nature...well done Roy great effort 3.........Scott Mckenna......unlucky in his first ride, laid his bike down and got hurt.this lad may have made the B final. 4.........Dylan Blain........outstanding young talant, rode well for his points 5.........Jake Moore.........not sure if this lad was ready for a championship, great effort on the night 6.........Josh Grajczonek....ALL CLASS NO MORE TO SAY. 7.........Scott Smith........not sure what to say, cream always floats to the top....well done 8.........Kyle Newman........so unlucky on the night,he was so close to making the final..WATCH OUT NEXT YEAR.. 9.........Mitch Weismantel...dollar for dollar he was my pick as best rider on the night, great work. 10........Steven Reid........hasnt this young man matured this season, great meeting and a big well done I just cant understand why north queensland didnt pick him for the test match and why NORTH QUEENSLAND HAVENT EVEN ASKED THE YOUNG MAN TO RIDE IN THE BIGGEST meeting of the year in brisbane next saturday.SPEEDWAY SUCKS AT TIMES WAKE UP SELECTORS... 11........Mitchell Davey.....im just not sure what to say other than to say he must have run a chinaman over so unlucky on the night.im sure his luck will turn around and we will get to see the real Mitchell. 12........Damien Koppe.......im not sure what to say,hes a far better rider than his points haul would suggest.
13........Clinton Dennis.....get your cheque books out british speedway, sign this boy up A.S.A.P hes only just turned 17 and has the skills of a 25 year old.hes one of the best young riders in australia today.rode above his years tonight and just missed out on the main final.....WELL DONE....... 14........Reagan Keyse.......good kid who rode hard all night,im not sure he should be learning his trade in a state championship. Great effort on the night. 15........Josh Auty..........along with the other Josh these two young men were in a class of there own tonight however it wasnt to be for mr auty.he came off hard in the final and deserved a top 3 finish. 16........Ashley Cathcart.....im just not sure what to say about young ashley, hes a great talant but is hot and cold. one race hes a world beater the next hes a also ran.once he gets sorted hes going places 17........Adam Wrathall......great rides all night, rode hard and enjoyed the night to the full. 18.......Kyle Howarth.......this kid has what it takes to be a little champion, for somebody so young so far away from home......he was just outstanding.im very proud to have him as part of the scholarship team. 19........Brendan Johnson.....the spark is back, the smile is back ......hes enjoying his racing again lets just hope he keeps it up.WELL DONE NOBBER.
BEST ON THE NIGHT...............Mitchell Weismantel UNLUCKY RIDER OF THE NIGHT......Kyle Newman RIDE OF THE NIGHT...............Steven Reid

They still have quality riders in the league though. Glasgows fixtures will always get priority, we own Josh. Afaik, Josh has been signed as a squad rider and doesnt have a mandatory amount of matches to be raced. Think it will just be a case of whenever Opole have a fixture and Glasgow dont, he will ride.
