It's now three weeks since our meeting at Armadale was cancelled, the following night Lee Complin tested "non negative" and two weeks ago our home fixture against the Monarchs was abandoned after heat six but we've heard nothing about these events. Today's meeting preview has Paul Starke trotting out the "race rusty" line but nothing else, conveniently failing to point out the the Cheetahs have only had two meetings this year. While it's understandable that "Speedway star fails drug test" isn't the kind of headline that reflects well on the club, or by extension on Allied Vehicles, it seems the club are verging on being in denial about it. Surely a date has been set for his hearing, even that hasn't been mentioned. Head in the sand or sitting on the fence awaiting the outcome? Are we going to hear of dates for the rearranged BSN meetings with Edinburgh. Some supporters need more advance notice than others, some have work and family commitments that need to be juggled to get along to these meetings. May be something will be said tonight. May be, may be not.
