The promotion have said they will issue a statement "in due course". Tomorrow would seem a good time for it. Unless it gets pre empted by a cancellation due to the weather being announced before noon. Is it likely the result of Lee's second test will be known tonight? If not, surely we need to call up whatever guest to which we are entitled in order to give him time to prepare/ travel If the result is known, does the SCB have to give their verdict? If it is established it was an over the counter treatment, does this clear Lee or not. It may still have contained a prescribed substance on the banned list. Really dont think we need to consider it being anything more than an over the counter medicine.
The wider points are - the time taken to get the result seems excessive. Do the samples just get posted off to the lab and are they at the vagrancies of the postal service, so should a courier be used instead. Does the Kyle Howarth case set a precedent or have the rules been amended in the light of it.
Iinteresting times!

I thought we might have heard something today.
Logistically, with having to book a contingency rider, I thought today might be d-day for Lee being in or out.
I know none of the facts but my SPECULATION is that Lee has taken too much of a prescribed pain killer. I'm basing this entirely on the comments from Mrs Complin.
What does this mean?
Does it mean a short ban? IMO if this is what has happened there can't be no ban. Too much of a substance you can't have too much of in your body is still a fail and punishment was be made and be seen to be made.
However it should be commensurate with the degree and with the intent.
As most of you will know I'm a huge Lee fan so I want this all to just go away but it just won't.
B tests never contradict A tests, do they?

Still no statement from our promotion though our FB page has been active in featuring new sponsors but the Edinburgh' website preview says that Sam Hagon guests for us. Disappointing that the news comes from elsewhere rather than our own media streams.

Somewhat incongruously, our FB page was updated just after 9.00 am, advertising the meeting but no mention of the teams.

While a supporter has copied the BSPL statement onto the FB discussion page, the club still haven't acknowledged it on any media outlet. Is this because of our organisation structure? We have a team manager who isnt a promoter, promoters who arent owners and owners for whom the Speedway is not their main business. So who should give our statement? Not Cami Brown but perhaps Alan Dick, though Peter Facenna took the lead after the Eastbourne fracas. We've lost our way in terms of disseminating information. Right now all we get is frothy articles from Phil Lanning- a few hyped up quotes from riders or Cami Brown with very little factual news.

The FB page needs someone quasi official to answer questions which currently get commented on by supporters who aren't always right. I believe Steven Findlay did this in previous years but doesn't seem to have been replaced. The discussion on the discount allowed is a case in point. Some one expecting £9, supporter saying it's £6 , when it is £4 as per the terms and conditions. Really this needs to be announced officially rather than just left hanging.

We went from one of the best on social media to almost nothing, it's a shame really.

Website updated this morning with Fridays score, though nothing said about the discount being given followed the abandonment nor Lee's situation.
