www.edinburghmonarchs.co.uk/news-centre/article/2024-04-04/shocking-forecast-postpones-fridays-season-openerHardly surprising that it's off given this weeks weather and tomorrow's forecast. However the problem is rearranging this fixture. The first Friday date that neither team has a fixture already scheduled is May 31, some two weeks AFTER the date Glasgow have reserved for the BSN semi final, so if the BSN competition isn't to be delayed a day other than a Friday is required OR league fixtures need to be rearranged. May 17 is a blank date for us and Edinburgh have Plymouth scheduled in the league that night before going to Berwick the following night. It'll be interesting to see how this is resolved but it looks like its going to need a few clubs to co-operate. UNLESS other ties in the other two sections fall to the weather and the whole competition gets shunted back.

Plymouth opening date has been put back to April 20 which will be their KO Cup meeting against Scunthorpe, leaving their BSN fixtures against Poole and Oxford still to be slotted in after that. The BSN timescale is now up in the air. britishspeedway.co.uk/cab-direct-championship/gladiators-on-hold/

How about Tigers v Edinburgh on Sunday May 19 and Edinburgh v Tigers on May 31. We have June 28 and July 12 shown as Reserved and they could be used for BSN and KO Cup semis if required. Strangely nothing is shown against June 7 which seems blank while July 12 is in the middle of the SON tournament and is usually blanked out.

And what's happened to the Berwick v Glasgow (BSN Series) fixture? Our first match seems to have fallen off the schedule. It's at the bottom of the 2023 results page! ... which has become the 2024 Results page. The Glasgow v Embra (BSN Series) fixture has been *abondoned* at the bottom of the 2024 Schedule, where punters are told they can *recieve* a £4 discount on the rescheduled meeting. Please, just put the fixtures and results on the same page and employ someone with the skill to update a website using correct English.

As someone whose websites now need HTML expertise rather than click and add, I can say that updating a website isn't that simple a task, which may explain the "mend and make do" approach to adding details. However surely there is some one in Allied's IT department that could sort this out quite quickly.

Please, just put the fixtures and results on the same page and employ someone with the skill to update a website using correct English. While I don't think they mean it, it does read as though the discount is only to be applied to the Edinburgh meeting.
