Redcar and Scunthorpe have lost at home and aee now running out of away meetings to make a real challenge for a top three slot. The fact that they both lost at Armadale adds to this assertion! So its between ourselves, Poole and Oxford. Other than Oxfords visits to Poole and Ashfield all other home meetings for the trio look to be home win bankers - yes including our visit to Wimborne Road sadly! Let's look at the away meetings of the big three. Birmingham - all three have won there and by a similar margin Berwick - Poole and Oxford have both won there, leaving us to do the same a week on Saturday - would expect us to win Plymouth - ditto Berwick and another away win required by the Stripes. Edinburgh - we won there in June and both Poole and Oxford have it to do. Poole were running away with it last week and a repeat looks likely. Can the Monarchs head the Cheetahs - hope so. Redcar and Scunthorpe - a big ask for us to get anything at either venue and Poole and Oxford have both won one Superheat ( Poole at Redcar; Oxford at Scunthorpe) In summary, we have more to do than the two others just to keep up with them and their Aggregate Win Point prospects look better too, so third looks to be the height of our expectations, with the outcome of Wednesday's Poole v Oxford meeting possibly the key factor in who will end up at the top of the pile.
