A great win for Connor in yesterday's Brit U21 at Ashfield. The weather held up, great racing and an exciting finale with one of the best races seen at Ashfield in some time. Not a great crowd though. Probably below break even so there must be some question whether we do it again.
A lot being said about whether Connor should have been in our side this year. Some justify his exclusion on the basis that he needed a change of track to improve his away performances. May be so but Redcar is a similar track to Ashfield. Right now his average isn't much different from last year and any improvement is more likely to be down to him being a year older, riding in Poland and signing for Belle Vue, rather than going to a different Championship track. In a lot of ways we've got to hope he doesnt improve too much if we want to have him back next year!

He has improved so much and now capable from working his way through from the back. Saw him a while back do this at Scunthorpe. We MUST have him back next year. Why would we have an asset who is getting better and let someone else benefit ? PS Marcin really has to get the better of Rowe in the next couple of weeks as well.

Great final with a great pass. Hope the BSPLtd come to a quick decision for next season's setup.

PS Marcin really has to get the better of Rowe in the next couple of weeks as well. Anders won a few of his heats from behind and looked really good. His first bend cutbacks were impressive to watch. Marcin better be on it though I suspect we might be a bit fragile at reserve against an experienced pairing.

Great final with a great pass. Hope the BSPLtd come to a quick decision for next season's setup.Sadly seems unlikely as the league structure won't be known until things shake down in the Premiership, probably in the winter. Right now Wolves and Peterboro look to be in the extremely doubtful category while Kings Lynn, if they run, might opt out of Premiership level Speedway next year. This raises the question of whether there would be a Premiership in 2024. Who would move up- Oxford and Poole and perhaps ourselves, giving a top league of seven or eight. Wouldn't leave many in the Championship though. If that doesn't happen are we looking at a combined league but with a few of the financially struggling sides dropping down to the NDL. So a top league of eleven teams of Belle Vue, Ipswich, Leicester, Kings Lynn, Sheffield, Edinburgh Glasgow, Oxford, Poole, Redcar, Scunthorpe. With Berwick, Birmingham and Plymouth joining the NDL In short, too many imponderables to decide on a points limit until they are bottomed out. The Chinese curse of living in interesting times!

I think Edinburgh will carry on at Armadale unless something else turns up.

He was great at Ashfield but not so sure he's doing that well elsewhere. Not impressive at Belle Vue tonight. There's a danger that we're overstating his progress. However would still want him for next year.
