Q. HOW DID YOU ENJOY RIDING AT CRAIGHEAD PARK BLANTYRE
A. Blantyre was a lot of fun, when it had plenty of dirt and a few bumps on the first turn
it was a bit tricky but always fun.
Q. DO YOU REMEMBER THE NIGHT YOU SCORED 16+ 3 round CRAIGHEAD PARK
A. Yes my best score in the UK I had been riding really well in Aussie in the winter and
beaten some big names so my confidence was high and got some good points at the
start of that season when I broke my leg (not a bad break) I never got going again.
the tracks were really slick and I struggled on them
Q. HOW MANY CLUBS DID YOU RACE WITH
A. six in total Newcastle, Glasgow, Weymouth, Exeter, Berwick and Barrow
Q WHICH RIDER DID YOU LIKE RIDING WITH
A. Steve Lawson was good to ride with, made good starts and you could try and follow
him through the first turn and I liked riding with Colin Caffrey
Q. WHAT WAS YOUR BEST SPEEDWAY MEMORIES
A. Blantyre at the start of that season was the best I went in the UK and riding at Barrow
with Gary O’hare was a laugh from the moment we left home until we got home. I enjoyed
riding in Europe and Aussie the most, big fast tracks with plenty of dirt, but my real love
is the long tracks the thrill at the end of the straight when you want the bike to go faster and
then you peel in flat out is hard to beat. My mountain biking and snowboarding is a rush but
the goggles don’t push against your face quite the same, and traveling so much around the
world and the people I’ve met is the best thing of all. I have been very lucky in life,
