Its not about whether the forecast is correct or not. It's about avoiding he possibility of another rain off either before the start or worse still mid meeting. So it's the right call for tonight but we cant do this too often.

Frustrating end to the week after 3 nights track work but the unpredictable weather patterns we've seen in the last 6 weeks and the abandoned Berwick match meant the Promotion treading carefully with decision making. Regrettably the weather didnt come to what it was forecasted but with 9am deadline for postponement and taking onboard recent issues then I believe it was an understandable decision.

Thanks insideout. It must be frustrating for you guys getting everything ready only for it to get called off.
Do we need to review whether 9.00 is the appropriate deadline for calling a postponement? Would things be clearer by say noon at which time most riders would be thinking of setting off. With riders having mobile phones they can be contacted immediately. A trade off between a bit of inconvenience for riders against getting a better/right call on the go/no go decision for the meeting perhaps? Just a thought.
