Time we pulled ourselves together as we have lost the last two on aggregate by 4 and by 5. Including 1997 and 1998 ( these were seven team sections and not straight knock out) and 1968 which was over one leg (at Coatbridge) we have only come out on top 5 times out of 14. We did do the big one in the 1994 Final while in 1953 with Miller in his pomp we triumphed over the two legs by a massive 56 points. No excuses , guys. Let's do this by Saturday night.

1968 was a big doing, glad I missed it for my uncle's wedding. There's an assumption that we should breeze through this weekend, not sure that this is helpful, or correct. Despite missing Masters and Pickering, it could still be close and we need to treat it that way.

I went to all our away thrashings at Coatbridge. No wins from 7. We had a good ht trio in 1969 of Jimmy, Charlie and Oyvind but even they struggled to make any impression on Eide, Persson, Geordie and Dougie. Russ Dent didnt fare too well . He had 18 races there. Scored a total of 3. Magical era indeed !

Best heat leader trio we ever had! Dent and Wells could never solve the Coatbridge circuit. Even the bad times were good!
