And no-one can complain about our lineup being fixed to improve the result, with 2 of the original 1-7 there

Outside the rebels Glasgow had easily the biggest and noisiest support and in turn our guys put on a brilliant show. A wee bit of luck and we couldve went a bit further.
Well done to Sheffield, some of Josh Auty's manouvers were awesome. Great night of speedway.

Well done to Sheffield, some of Josh Auty's manouvers were awesome. Great night of speedway. Agreed, you were a credit to your team tonight - and that from a Monarch!!! Edinburgh should've been one of the front runners, but were really never at the races, and to say our pair were atrocious was an understatement! I believe Fish was fined for not having Edinburgh body plate on, but I guess that'd only add to his disappointment. Kevin was understandably agitated by the late arrival, and Fish probably wasn't in the best frame of mind but we performed poorly on the night - no arguments. Most racing was sorted after the second bends - with the exception of Josh Auty... Finding grip where no others could, and was easily the best rider on show. Sheffield were deserved winners, and their celebrations with their supporters were a credit to them and fair play, they showed them, what it meant to them to win it for Sheffield. Was a dubious decision in the consolation final. Think the referee bottled the decision to exclude Parker. McGowan rode him wide into turns 1 and 2, but he came down on his own. The ref invited all 4 back. Very harsh to say the least for Glasgow. Met Paulco tonight for the first time, a pleasure sir:)

Poor Ryan!! Was the dummy out the pram? Worst set of riders there, but top of the league!! Goes to show how dumping riders to keep other riders at reserve works!!! Rule manipulation?? Yes!!

Merlin on BSF writes:
Frankly Edinburgh were an embarrassment.
We were last to arrive although Kevin could hardly be blamed for the road accident which prevented him getting to the track until just minutes before the parade which left him unsettled and flustered all evening. Then we were the only team with a rider not wearing a race jacket - it looked terrible although I gather Ryan thought that they would be supplied. Clearly nobody else thought that.
AS far as the racing went we needn't have bothered turning up. All we managed were two second places when Fisher beat McGowan in heat 6 benind Grajczonek and Wolbert beat Ashworth in heat 18 behind Auty. Otherwise we were well and truly skelped.
Ryan apparently had clutch problems and Kevin was riding a specially prepared engine that was useless. He changed to his normal one for his last race when he finished in second place.
To crown it all we were the only team to track just one rider in a race when Kevin was left to go it alone in heat 18.
What a humiliation.
Nae race jackets - Arriving late - Not competing
Hope JDC will complain about them !

Alwas a pleasure to read Merlins reports,He always says it as it is IMO...This will make the Monarchs stronger to go on and clinch the league.
