King's Lynn's league meeting on Thursday has been cancelled due to " rider unavailability" with Poland unilaterally staging their individual championship rounds that night, despite it being a reserved night for British fixtures. It'll be interesting to hear BSPL CEO Phil Morris explain this one away. Might he end up quoting from Neville Chamberlain!

King's Lynn's league meeting on Thursday has been cancelled due to " rider unavailability" with Poland unilaterally staging their individual championship rounds that night, despite it being a reservedvnight for British fixtures. It'll be interesting to hear BSPL CEO Phil Morris explain this one away. Might he end up quoting from Neville Chamberlain! I read somewhere that the UK now only has Monday's reserved. However, when you read the headline from Kings Lynn you think half their team must be out for some reason. Turns out only 2 riders will be missing one of whom is injured! Some conspiracy theorists reckon that it is because the other rider missing, reserve Patrick Wojdylo, scored a paid 18 6 ride maximum last week and can only be replaced by a 4.6 rider due to his current average. Last year teams were asked to ride with 4 guests and rider replacement! So does this latest decision set a precedent? Would their opponents have been allowed to cancel if they had 2 riders missing? Dangerous minefield!!!!

I think the (imposed) agreement was that meetings rained off in Poland could be restaged on the following Thursday. Not sure that this fits in this instance but you do feel the Poles are continuing to push the boundaries.

Edinburgh postpone their Brit Junior event on June 15, probably due to the Armadale Gala Day being held then. Not sure why they accepted that date in the first place. It's always the third Saturday in June.

I'm even more surprised we go to Armadale in August and Plymouth the following night. Who thought that was a good idea?!

I've found this online speedway programme. I'm going to try it out tomorrow evening but it looks good, with pretty easy functionality if you're a wee bit IT literate...... speedway-programme.en.softonic.com/android

I don't think our centre green announcer ever did get around to updating the crowd on Chris Harris' fortunes in the 1st round GP of this year's FIM Long Track series, despite promising to do But we do know his daughter bought her first house, which is in Armadale

Some interesting stuff on a BSN podcast with Ian Brennan and Rory Schlein reviewing the Championship teams. Schlein tells of the pressure Glasgow riders are under and suggests the "engine room" at three and four isn't doing it's job and feels there are riders "waiting in the long grass" ready to be changed in. Brannan points out that some new Premiership riders will soon be getting "proper British avearges" and may be signing targets. Birmingham have three in this category, all with averages well below 5.00. Splash the cash coming up? Perhaps, perhaps not. Edinburgh also being mentioned as a team to make a change, almost certainly at reserve. m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid02iSxh7b8bsKSQmbA9ygsSEBZCNCRMsAWTehF9obL6hZzcksVL3sJrkAcWTKEyipkKl&id=100078041655552

Comparing the strength of last year's championship winning team with this year's septet is incredible. A 1-7 of heat winners home and away vs......well, to be charitable..... not?
