Glad of the early notification about next Sunday - plan B for me now!! Sure we will get the track sorted out and that it will be worth waiting for. I agree. The promotion took on a massive project to produce what is, realistically, a completely new track. An unbelievably hard winter and a variety of setbacks have taken their toll on the timescales. The track banking is of Cliftonhill / Shay proportions and will provide fast exciting racing. Unfortunately, I have concerns whether the soft spots can be eradicated just by tyre packing. If the sub base material in the suspect areas needs to be replaced it could be a costly job. If it delays the start of racing then income loss will make that worse. Over to Doc Bridgett and Danny, I think

Assuming everything is sorted out for the 10th and the Workington meeting goes ahead, that will be the first of 5 home meetings in succession with only 2 away meetings in amongst them, so any potential loss of income should be covered by that schedule - bearing in mind we are always at the mercy of the weather, it felt a bit strange to be dry at 4pm this afternoon

Evening work parties? Now the nights are longer, would be handy for doing non-skilled stuff like removing rubble and such. Not ideal, but would possibly solve a few minor headaches while the track surface gets attended to.

Yes it was good to see Trent yesterday at Ashfield - and even better to hear that he still is a true Tiger at heart.
