Do we have a fixture next Friday? Our fixture list is currently blank though we've got Redcar home and away in the KO Cup and Oxford rained off dates still outstanding. Will something be said tonight? Or do we have to wait until our BSN semi is concluded. Would it take precedence if tonight doesn't go ahead and is this why nothing has yet been said?
Do we need to get used to racing Redcar and Scunthorpe. We have Redcar in the Cup and ourselves and the Bears are possibly favourites to be the BSN finalists. If we beat Redcar in the Cup we'll almost certainly meet Scunthorpe in the semis. It could be like deja vu all over again! And it's certainly possible the three teams could be in the same play off section, particularly if Poole top the league.

Presumably if it isn't then it would be staged next weekend and the KO Cup will have to wait. Not great from a Glasgow point of view with supporters being told to watch social media for our next meeting rather than being given a definite statement last night. While it's good that BSN sponsor the tournament - how much do they pay for it? - it should be remembered it's the third in importance behind the league and KO Cup and be treated accordingly. It was said on BSN that their final would be run by the end of June. Let's hope dates can be fixed up without dislocating already scheduled fixtures. Just a thought though- we might have to go to Poole on a Wednesday and will Ben and Claus be available or will they be required in Denmark?

If there's a meeting let's hope the dust is controlled better than last night. No rain was forecast so no reason not to water heavily in the afternoon. Disappointing that it was so dusty so early in the meeting.

Meant to be great weather next week too! If there's a meeting let's hope the dust is controlled better than last night. No rain was forecast so no reason not to water heavily in the afternoon. Disappointing that it was so dusty so early in the meeting. 14,000 litres down from 12pm with a tanker the night before. Lot of fresh material down after last Sundays junior Championship. Riders didn't want any more water down after track walk as they thought it was already too wet and we were told not to water after the heat 4 grade, although fully agree it was too dusty, just not our call 😑.

Difficult decision but the customer must be taken into consideration too.

Can understand that riders don't like mid meeting watering that probably makes it quite slippery, but, while there may have been a drying wind on Friday, it was by no means a summers night and the problem is likely to get worse as the weather improves. Can more water be put down earlier without destroying the track surface? Should riders have less say prior to the meeting starting? Brian Collins always reckoned if you missed the gate in heat one you should come back to the pits covered in shale! These days are obviously gone but something needs to be done, some compromise reached. Not good that BSN described it as the dustiest meeting of the year. However it should be remembered the racing was really good and thanks to the track staff for their efforts and for putting up with being "piggy in the middle" of all this.

Likely to be a guest @ No1 for Redcar on Tuesday coming? Who do we think it might be? A certain Cumbrian? I see he guested for Wolves last Monday, 4 from 4.

Connor Bailey 9+1 from the No 4 jacket. Getting him out of his comfort zone of the last few years appears to be working, how we could have done with a couple of those last year!
