Not a lot happening right now so let's take a look at what we'd like to see happening with the 2020 fixture list
The BSPA to fixdates and venues for all shared events being decided ahead of the fixture list and not shoehorned in afterwards
Showing either Reserved or No Meeting against blank Fridays rather than leaving fans wondering whether to arrange something else that night.
While it's hoped we again stage a round of the British Junior Championships can we make sure it doesn't lead to the team going three or four weeks without a home meeting as has happened in the last two years.
Better placing of blank dates. Having a blank date in April this year had no practical use as Edinburgh and Berwick, the only teams that could ave been brought back had their meeting at Ashfield been rained off, were racing each other that night.
Not having an away fixture on a Friday right at the cut off date ie Redcar on Friday 13 September. Surely this could have been arranged much earlier. It meant we needed to run midweek to clear our fixture backlog before the cut off date.
Not having a home meeting on the Friday before going to Eastbourne on the Saturday. Craig Cook complained about this.
Restaging rained off meetings in the summer not letting them all accumulate then squeezing them in in September on darker colder school nights.
Berwicks doubleheader against Edinburgh and ourselves seems to have been quite a night. Should the three clubs consider a three team tournament to open the season - three 6 man teams, each rider getting 4 rides giving 18 heats staged on the one weekend Edinburgh on Friday, Berwick on Saturday, Glasgow on Sunday.

These all seem decent ideas, but we need fixture continuity where we are scheduled to race at least three home fixtures a month.

If we are running on Fridays that should be the night the majority of fixtures should be on, with occasional meetings on other nights.

No dates or venues for British Semi Finals in the fixturesShowing either Reserved or No Meeting against blank Fridays rather than leaving fans wondering whether to arrange something else that night. BSPA lists give our Reserved dates but our website does notWhile it's hoped we again stage a round of the British Junior Championships can we make sure it doesn't lead to the team going three or four weeks without a home meeting as has happened in the last two years. No mention of a Junior event as yet and little space for one to be slotted in. No significant gaps in home fixtures
Better placing of blank dates. Having a blank date in April this year had no practical use as Edinburgh and Berwick, the only teams that could ave been brought back had their meeting at Ashfield been rained off, were racing each other that night. Few reserved dates, with the April one hopefully for a GB test matchNot having an away fixture on a Friday right at the cut off date ie Redcar on Friday 13 September. Surely this could have been arranged much earlier. It meant we needed to run midweek to clear our fixture backlog before the cut off date. We've done it again with three fixtures pretty close to the likely cut off dateNot having a home meeting on the Friday before going to Eastbourne on the Saturday. Craig Cook complained about this. Done this again.Restaging rained off meetings in the summer not letting them all accumulate then squeezing them in in September on darker colder school nights. Remains to be seen.Berwicks doubleheader against Edinburgh and ourselves seems to have been quite a night. Should the three clubs consider a three team tournament to open the season - three 6 man teams, each rider getting 4 rides giving 18 heats staged on the one weekend Edinburgh on Friday, Berwick on Saturday, Glasgow on Sunday. Updated with what has or hasn't happened

Will there be a full fixture list in Poland on the Sunday? If so are we looking at an afternoon meeting again?

It is to be hoped we have a proper 18 heat international and not the scaled down race formula that was used last time. GB team along the lines of Woffinden, Lambert, Cook, Bewley, Ellis and Charles Wright perhaps. Not sure who might get the nod as reserves RoW - will it have a local flavour with Masters, Wells and Rasmus Jensen backing up a top three - Nicki Pedersen, Jason Doyle and Jack Holder or Brady Kurtz. Reserves Broc Nicol and Sam Jensen. What do you guys think?

He's riding at Berwick that night but if it's an afternoon meeting he can do a Charlie Monk and ride in both! Charlie famously rode at Exeter on Bank Holiday Monday morning and then won the Internationale at Wimbledon that night.

Would expect it to be £20 admission and £5 for a programme, with the revenues going to VRX Motorsports Ltd, the company who bought the Team GB franchise from the BSPA and who recently thought it was a good idea to send Simon Stead out to Australia, with buying Jack Smith Team GB kevlars being anotner shrewd purchase.
