Agree with MD, Ipswich on Tuesday should be a great meeting but might not have a great outcome.

A great meeting last night with some great racing too, possibly the best meeting of the season . We got out of jail ... and sadly it looks like the Monarchs did too. Ipswich move on to +7 with Edinburgh on +8, putting our meetings with both these teams next week in the "must win" category. Ipswich have now ridden all their away meetings and so can't improve on their +7 rating. So unless Edinburgh lose at home, they cant make the playoffs.
Worryingly we didn't use a tac sub when the opportunities arose. While heat six may be wasn't clear cut, not using Craig Cook in heat nine was culpable. Yes it would have been a tough call pulling out either Claus or Paul but it should have been done. In the final analysis it may well have stopped Ipswich taking a league point.
Manzares was poor and it highlights the problem of the limited choice we have. It sounds like Nathan is expected to still be out next week.

really good meeting last night, just a bit concerned about the number of riders sliding off on their own. is the track getting bumpy?

Thought last night was one of the best meetings and come backs I've seen at Ashfield. It keeps us in the hunt, just. Interesting discussion on the BSF as it seems that Lakeside and Workington may not manage to complete their fixtures before the cut-off point which has already been put back one week. Rain-offs could also create havoc. I'm not going to get into the fairness of play-offs (which I disagree with) and cut-off dates but at least we have the points in the bag and are sitting in second place one point ahead of Edinburgh and Lakeside and 3 points ahead of Workington. Makes Friday's meeting at Armadale even more interesting. Still doesn't get away from the fact we have to beat Edinburgh next Tuesday!

James Sarjeant will have to put in a better show than last night. Monarchs are a well balanced team and they will be keen. Jack Thomas produced the goods when it really mattered in heat 14.

Felt sorry for James in one heat last night when he was challenging for the lead and the race was stopped because Manzares (ex Ipswich rider) had fallen off and failed to clear the track. In the re-run, as always happens, he finished at the back! Our biggest problem for next week is who guests for Nathan Greaves? Connor Mountain or Jordan Stewart appear to be the best options.

Drew Kemp ? Danny Ayres ? I would go with either of those two. Kemp was impressive in all departments last night. Danny has a point to prove and has been known to provide some entertainment.

Drew Kemp ? Danny Ayres ? Next Tuesday Cradley are racing against Mildenhall in the 1st leg of the National Trophy Final. Danny Ayres rides for Mildenhall and Drew Kemp, remarkably, rides for both!

really good meeting last night, just a bit concerned about the number of riders sliding off on their own. is the track getting bumpy? While the entry to the third bend has been improved and no longer gets down to the base, it is still really slick. Riders drifting off the inside line then end up in more grippy territory and seem to struggle and in some cases fall. We need a more even distribution of the track surface. It looked like only the outside got any attention during track grades.

Think its more what happens when riders are giving it everything. I would discount Riss, he has form for coming off on turns 3 & 4 regardless. I would also mention that the inexperienced riders, JT and Kemp never had any issues. Perhaps it was also the Ipswich riders under pressure to get a result and pushed it too far.
