3 away wins 8n 37 meetings is about 8%, a lot less than the 25% historic norm.

Does anyone genuinely see us getting any away wins ? If so, where ?

See the Away Wins thread . It depends on which teams make changes in the coming weeks but we must be in with a shout at Berwick and Newcastle surely. We did well at Workington a couple of weeks ago although paradoxically the Comets have been the better team at Ashfield this season. Then Edinburgh in the final league meeting which again depends on them "beefing up". I'm not suggesting we'll win these four but these are our best chances. Right now I'd settle for two!

Does anyone genuinely see us getting any away wins ? If so, where ? No! Its painful looking down the race card sometimes wondering where we can get a heat advantage never mind an away win. Gappmaier/Etheridge, Wethers, Campton and Lambert etc are all stellar reserves for their teams whereas we have weakness. They can all get seven rides offering the team manager flexibility especially in the later heats. Sheffield on Thursday will be interesting. Their owner deems the team to not have won enough away meetings and is about to strengthen the 1-7. Can we even take a point?

Lakeside win st Scunthorpe tonight confirming them as play off contenders and really it's all over now for Scunthorpe.

Workington's win at Berwick confirms them as playoff contenders, assuming they get their fixtures sorted out smoothly. The +/- form guide is Workington +8 Peterborough +8 Lakeside +7 Ipswich +2 Edin/Glasgow +1
Edinburgh race injury ridden Scunthorpe today and no doubt fancy their chances. We'll see! Our next two aways are at Scunthorpe and Berwick later this month and we must be looking to get something from them.

Another away win for Workington. This time a 50-40 victory at Newcastle gaining them 4 league points and putting them on +12. We need to match their performances with wins at Berwick and Newcastle.

No, no. Workington's win at Brough Park tonight was in the Cup not the league, so, as you were.

Oh dear, Edinburgh run up a huge win at Redcar last night, highlighting how poor our result was there. Workington's win at Ipswich surely ends the Witches playoff hopes. Only five teams have a plus rating in the form guide, although, with away wins at a premium, only Workington, Lakeside, Edinburgh and ourselves have 100% home records. Right now our home and away series against Edinburgh at the end of August looks like being a playoff "playoff"!! However we really need to get some away points on the board before then.
Workington +11 Peterborough +8 Lakeside +7 Edinburgh +5 Glasgow +1

A big win for Lakeside at Sheffield last night and Ipswich getting all four league points at hapless Redcar mean the Form Guide looks like
Workington +11 Lakeside +11 Peterborough +8 Edinburgh +5 Ipswich +3 Glasgow +2
Ipswich's away win brings them back into contention and highlights just how valuable they are. We really need to win at Berwick to keep in the hunt.
