I thought that speedway's controlling bodies had the monopoly on any live coverage. Anyway, enough of that lot. Craig Cook was absolutely dominant tonight. Some of his moves were breathtaking. Probably the best single performance that I have seen in recent years.

Best ht15 for years and a fantastic crowd to see it. Stuffing Harris in 13 & 15 was superb. Cant expect Cook to perform like that every week though. Vissing's mid season dip shows up again, he was painfully slow tonight and Starkey wasnt really at the races early on. Leicester beat this team earlier in the week, much harder visitors to come.

Other than Leicester I'm not sure there are harder opponents to come. Our home and away weekend with the Lions at the end of next month will be pivotal in deciding the league winners - sorry the team that gets first pick in the play offs!!

Tomorrow will be the 42nd staging of the 4s. In all that time our best has been two third places and two fourth places in the final. To rub a load of salt in our east of Scotland chums, have won it four times.

A good feeling about today. Keep the faith.
I also hope we take the opportunity to get together with the Eastbourne promotion today and sort out dates for the Championship Shield semis. Leicester have now beaten Berwick and await the winners.

So near! Equalling our best position but no cigar. However before anyone starts giving it to Claus, let's remember he had a gap of close to four weeks between meetings and it must have been like starting the season again.

However before anyone starts giving it to Claus, let's remember he had a gap of close to four weeks between meetings and it must have been like starting the season again. Would speculate he had bike issues all weekend rather than rustiness. Painfully slow on Friday night, the heat he came down on bends 1&2 I'm sure his bike died on him. Proper business to focus on now with Friday night the first hurdle. Lets get stuck in.

However, there is no excuse for a professional rider not having a serviceable, competitive spare. He had all day Saturday to locate the fault and ensure that his spare was set up for the large Peterborough track. I would like to think that there would be help available from Craig, in particular, and the other lads regarding bike setup on the day.

Congratulations to Kyle who has been selected for GB in the World U21 Team Cup. Thankfully it doesn't look like GB need to ride in either semi this weekend which could have seen him missing the meetings with Edinburgh. However the final is on July 12, the night we race Birmingham at Ashfield. His GSA for July is likely to be around 3.60 while he is achieving just over 6.00 at Ashfield this year, so we'll be missing him.

BREAKING NEWS 📰
Jack Thomas has stood down from the team saying he is no longer enjoying his racing. Stewart Dickson now looking to make a new signing.
That's a bit of a blow for Leicester and the 28 day rule for guests will have expired just before they race us home and away. It'll be interesting to see who they sign. I think they have just under 2.5 points to plsy with. It underlines the value of our signing Connor. Advantage Tigers I think.
